Embracing Autumn's Wisdom: A Season of Transformation, Self-Reflection, and Personal Renewal

The golden season can be an inspiring time, imparting valuable lessons on transformation, self reflection and inner renewal. In this season we encounter archetypal figures like the Alchemist and Wise Elder, who guide us towards personal transformation by shedding what no longer serves us to make room for fresh beginnings. It’s a time to emulate nature's process of releasing the old in anticipation that Spring promises to bring.

It’s easy to ignore this crucial stage of a healthy cycle due to our fear of the unknown, the belief that we're stuck with who we've become, and the comfort of staying in a repetitive cycle, even if it is a cycle that brings us no joy. The mind tends to race ahead, conjuring up all the challenges you may have to confront, the losses you might incur, and the adjustments you may need to make if you embark on this journey of transformation.

However, when you commit to releasing and changing, at your own pace, something magical happens. A deliberate approach brings about a sense of ease and flow and paves the way for opportunities you can't yet envision to present themselves.

Change is not something to be feared, but a pathway to growth and transformation. By embracing the natural rhythm of life's cycles and taking these steps mindfully, you open the door to a world of new possibilities, and the journey becomes an inspiring adventure of self-discovery and personal evolution.

However, it's important to acknowledge that Autumn can also be a season of heightened emotions, including sadness and grief. Ancient philosophies associate Autumn with these emotions, and it's interesting to note that the organs related to this time of year are the lungs and large intestine. These organs play a role in selecting what nourishes us and what we need to release – both physically and metaphorically.

We can support our inner processes by engaging in simple somatic practices, such as breathwork, massaging acupressure points, yoga, being in nature and consuming foods like root vegetables (beetroot, carrots, squash). By paying attention to these practices, we can navigate the emotional landscapes within ourselves and harvest what serves us while letting go of what doesn't. This applies not only to our physical health but also to our mental, emotional, spiritual, and social well-being.

Reflecting on where your life is at this moment provides insights into the beliefs and attitudes that you hold within your body and memory. The saying, "If you want to know your thoughts and expectations of the past, look at what is in your life today," emphasises the power of self-awareness. It's not about placing blame but about taking back your power and choosing to be responsible for your life.

You have the ability to transform the beliefs that keep you small and afraid to reach your full potential. What if you decided to let go of the stories that no longer serve you and wrote a new ending for your future? Autumn is the perfect time for this transformation.

This season invites you to embrace the magic and potential that surrounds you, encouraging you to take those steps you've been putting off in a gentle and graceful manner. Just as nature follows its rhythm, you too can gracefully transition into a new chapter of your life. You don't have to rush; there's a perfect time for everything.

As you look honestly at yourself, you can prepare for an incubation period which comes with the winter season with a sense of curiosity and playfulness. It’s true you may encounter some challenges along the way, but you'll have the strength and resources to stay on your chosen path and live a story that aligns with your dreams and aspirations. Join us in our latest video as we explore this concept through Breaking Free from Self-Limiting Narratives & Stories.
